Becky Cruickshank       BHS AI int. SM

Becky is our onsite instructor. Having started her career teaching at the well recognised Greenways Riding Stables under Mark Sprake, she gained a mass of experience taking total novices and transforming them into riders. Over the years she build up a successful client base away from Greenways, and ended up moving away to focus on her own work. Along side the teaching, Becky has always had a passion for training young horses. This started as a reliable way of producing quality horses and ponies to sell to clients when they outgrew their current mounts, as matches could be sensibly made without having to take the risk of 'shopping' elsewhere. Inevitably a point was reached where more ponies were being produced than our clients needed, so we were able to start offering our horses and ponies to the open market.

As with most passionate horsewomen, Becky is also a keen competition rider, regularly competing at both affiliated events with the more established horses and local events for the youngsters gaining experience.

However, none of this would be possible without Charlotte reliably on hand at all times!

About Us

Charlotte Cruickshank

Charlotte started her riding young, and continued to enjoy it into her teens when she started sneaking away from college to help Becky schooling the sales ponies without telling her parents. Little did they realise how our antics were going to progress! After finishing college, Charlotte proactively sought opportunities to learn and progress both her riding and horsecare across a number of disciplines. This included being working pupil for Olympic eventer Gemma Tattersall, grooming and home riding for Grand Prix dressage rider Hana Vasaryova in Czech Republic, backing and producing 3yos with EWSZ ( European Warmblood Stallion Zentrum) in North America and grooming on the HITS showjumping circuit in Ocala, FL. Upon purchasing Miss Ruby and committing to staying in the UK she decided the time was right to throw herself head first into BC Equine. Charlotte takes huge pride in both the day to day running of the yard, as well as the performance of the horses. Owners can rest assured knowing that if they cannot make it down to ride, their horses are in very capable hands.
